Terms & Conditions
These terms govern your use of this website and your participation in any events, workshops, or programmes run under the Avnish & Anita Goyal name. Please read them carefully before registering.
Acceptance
By accessing this website or registering for any event listed on it, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use this site or register for an event.
Who we are: These events are organised by Avnish & Anita Goyal. You can reach us any time at hello@avnishandanita.com.
Event Registration
Registration for a workshop, retreat, or event constitutes an application for a place, not a guaranteed booking, until confirmation has been sent to the email address provided. Information submitted at registration must be accurate and current.
A binding contract between you and us is formed only when we send written confirmation of your place.
Payment & Deposits
Where an event requires payment, the fee or deposit shown on the relevant registration page must be received in full before a place is confirmed. All prices are shown in pounds sterling (£) and include any applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
Payments are processed by third-party payment providers. We do not store your full card details.
Venue & Date Changes
Every effort is made to hold each event at the advertised venue and on the advertised date. However, the venue, date, and/or time of any event may change in certain circumstances, including but not limited to venue unavailability, insufficient registrations, safety considerations, or events outside our reasonable control.
Where a change is necessary: Registered attendees will be notified by email as early as possible using the details provided at registration. If the change is significant and you cannot attend the revised arrangements, you may choose a transfer to a future event or a full refund, provided you tell us within [7] days of our notice. Otherwise, continued participation is taken as acceptance of the revised arrangements.
Cancellations & Refunds
If you cancel or can't make it: We plan each event carefully around confirmed places, so we're unable to offer refunds if you cancel or cannot attend, for whatever reason.
If you let us know in good time, we may, entirely at our discretion, generate a voucher for use towards a future event. A voucher is a goodwill gesture rather than a right, and we'll confirm any terms with you when it's issued.
If we cancel: Should we ever need to cancel an event outright, we'll offer you a transfer to a future date or a full refund in pounds sterling, whichever you prefer. Refunds are paid to your original payment method within 14 days of our notice.
Your statutory rights: Nothing in these terms affects your legal rights as a consumer, including where an event is not provided with reasonable care and skill or is materially different from how it was described.
Right to Cancel (Distance Bookings)
Consumers who book online would ordinarily have a 14-day cooling-off period under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. This right does not apply to leisure services, accommodation, or transport booked for a specific date or period.
Each event on this site is booked for a specific date or period. By confirming your registration, you acknowledge that you have no right to cancel once your booking is confirmed, other than as set out in section 05.
Eligibility
Our events are intended for attendees aged 18 and over unless the registration page for a specific event states otherwise. Anyone under 18 must have the written consent of a parent or guardian to attend, and the parent or guardian is responsible for them throughout.
Photography & Media
Photography, filming, and audio recording may take place at our events for use across this website, social media, and press coverage. Images and recordings of identifiable people are personal data and are handled in line with UK data protection law.
By attending, you consent to being included in such material unless you notify us in writing beforehand that you do not wish to be photographed or filmed. You may withdraw consent for future use at any time by emailing us, and we will stop using your image going forward where reasonably possible.
Travel & Wellbeing
Where an event involves travel, accommodation, or physical activity, attendees are responsible for arranging their own travel, travel insurance, and visas, and for confirming with their own doctor that they are fit to take part, unless the registration page states that travel or accommodation is arranged by us as a package.
We accept no liability for personal injury, illness, or loss arising from travel to, from, or during an event, save where caused by our negligence. Attendees must tell us in advance of any medical, dietary, or access needs we should know about.
Use of Content
All text, images, branding, and materials on this website belong to Avnish & Anita Goyal or their respective ventures and foundations, unless credited otherwise. Reproduction or use without express written consent is prohibited. Event materials are for your personal use only and may not be recorded, shared, or resold.
Your Data
We handle personal data in accordance with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. Details submitted through a registration form are used only to administer your place, send event-related updates, and where relevant, confirm attendance. Details are not sold or passed to third parties for marketing purposes.
We share data only with service providers who help us run events (such as email, payment, and hosting providers), some of which may be located outside the UK, under appropriate safeguards. We send marketing emails only where you have opted in, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
You have the right to access, correct, erase, and restrict the use of your data, to object to its use, and to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk). Full information is set out in our separate Privacy Statement.
Liability
Content on this website and at any associated event is provided for informational and educational purposes only and is not professional business, financial, legal, or medical advice. Attendance at, or reliance on, any event, workshop, or published material is at your own discretion, and results may vary.
We will provide our services with reasonable care and skill. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot be excluded by law. Subject to that, our total liability to you in connection with an event is limited to the amount you paid for it, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss.
Events Outside Our Control
We are not responsible for any delay, change, or cancellation caused by events outside our reasonable control, including severe weather, natural disaster, epidemic, government restrictions, industrial action, transport failure, or venue closure. In that case, section 04 and the "If we cancel" terms in section 05 will apply.
Conduct & Accessibility
We are committed to inclusive events and will make reasonable adjustments for attendees with disabilities where we can, in line with the Equality Act 2010. Please contact us before the event so we can plan with you.
We expect all attendees to behave respectfully. We may remove anyone whose conduct is abusive, discriminatory, unsafe, or disruptive, without refund.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with any aspect of an event, please email hello@avnishandanita.com within [14] days of the event. We will acknowledge your complaint within [5] working days and aim to resolve it within [28] days.
Governing Law
These terms, and any dispute arising from them, are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have non-exclusive jurisdiction. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in the courts of your home country. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
Changes to These Terms
These Terms & Conditions may be updated from time to time. The version published on this page at the time of your registration or use of the site is the version that applies to your booking.
